Maternity Pictures

No comments:
 My brother is going to be a father. Seems like just yesterday I was taking their engagement pictures. Four years later I'm so excited to be capturing this new, exciting stage of their life together.

My First Bridal Shoot

2 comments:
Here are photos from my first ever bridal shoot. Gratefully it was for a really sweet, BEAUTIFUL girl who DOESN'T sweat. I'm not joking, people. It was 100 degrees out and she didn't have even ONE bead of sweat. Amazing. I on the other hand was filthy and soaking with sweat. Good thing I was behind the camera. Their wedding theme was Lemon and Lime so we set up a vintage lemonade stand and took a few silly, fun pics. These tree shots are my favorite. I used the same location for belly pictures, taken of a friend in 2009. It was a beautiful setting then and still is three years later! The sunlight here in the summer is just beautiful. And so are you, Melissa :).

Marin's Mermaid Birthday {The Invitation}

No comments:
Above is the Invitation design for Marin's upcoming Mermaid Birthday party. The girls and I created clothespin mermaids to use as party favors and decorations at the party. When I read the fairy tale "The Little Mermaid" to Marin, she insists that I incorporate her name. So in her mind the story is "Marin the Mermaid." Can you believe that she's turning FIVE! Oh, and wearing the blue necklace for pictures was her idea. She told me it was "mermaidish." (tee hee hee). Below are the shots that didn't make the cut but I still love them.

Lemon & Lime Wedding {Save the Date}

No comments:
I've had so many wedding invitation projects lately. It's fun to work with these unique couples to create a feel for their big day. Above is a save the date design for lemon and lime themed summer wedding. The photo is one from the engagement shoot I did with them in April. I loved the pose and was so sad when those yellow wild flowers stopped blooming. Now, it's just blooming HOT. Below are a few shots from their session. Aren't they sweet?

Adalyn's Eyes

No comments:
Through your eyes skies look brighter
Grass more green clouds are whiter.
When you're close cares grow lighter,
I'm glad that you were born.
Through your eyes hills stretch higher.
When you smile you inspire hearts to sing in a choir.
I'm glad that you were born.
Born to laugh, born to dream
Born to spread your light.
Through your eyes I see clearer
You bring God so much nearer.
Life has grown so much dearer,
I'm glad that you were...

Born to laugh, born to dream.
Born to spread your light.

Through your eyes I see clearer You being God so much nearer. Life has grown so much dearer I'm glad that you were born.

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, musical Composed by Gene de Paul

These lyrics are how I feel about Adalyn's eyes. Which is why they were incorporated into the invitation design for her first birthday. And here I am celebrating another year with her and thinking about the magic of her eyes. Happy birthday, little one. I love you!

Senior Pictures {My Nephew Zack}

No comments:
Well, it's official. I'm old. I have a nephew who has graduated from High School. I had the pleasure of taking his senior pics and designing this announcement. What a handsome, polite, kind and talented young man. An asset to the world and the family around him. Congratulations Zachary!

Senior Portraits {All Boys}

No comments:

I rarely take photos of boys. Most often it's families, pregnant women or my little ladies. So when I had three male, senior photo shoots and my brother's nursing school graduation shots I was out of my comfort zone. All that said, I think the photos turned out pretty good and I had a lot of fun with these crazy, creative seniors. A few of my favorites below.

Angelina College Nursing School Graduate {My Brother Daniel}

1 comment:

I took photos of my brother Daniel for his graduation announcements. My family and I are super proud of his accomplishment and are excited to see what the future brings for Daniel. Pictures of Daniel at this stage in life wouldn't be complete without his faithful companion, Flea. You wouldn't believe the noises I had to make to get that Dog's attention for photos. If you thought taking pictures of a kid was hard, try a dog!

Love you Daniel!
